Boys ESR Top 50: Oct. 16

TOP STORY: With only eight newcomers to this week’s rankings, it sounds as if there was limited change in the rankings. But such wasn’t the case. A series of ties by ranked teams and a few big-match wins resulted in a reshuffling of the squads ranked between 10 and 50.

BIG MOVER: Blue Valley Northwest (Overland Park, Kan.). Blue Valley Northwest earned a 26-spot jump in this week’s rankings after beating former ESR Top 50-ranked Christian Brothers (St. Louis, Mo.) and tying current No. 19 Chaminade (St. Louis, Mo.) at the Art Friley Shootout over the weekend. The results allow the team to move from No. 46 to No. 20, the largest jump among teams that were in last week’s rankings.
